DENVER, Colorado – It’s hard to imagine, but this year’s “Toothbrushes for Tots” campaign generated more than 23,000 child-sized toothbrushes, dental floss and toothpaste for the children seen by Kids in Need of Dentistry.

“I’ve never seen so many toothbrushes in my life,” said Cindy Brandich (Colorado Springs Clinic Coordinator) when a van load of supplies were delivered to our Colorado Springs clinic last week. “The timing couldn’t be better,” she added, referring to the season of health fairs about to begin in the Colorado Springs area.

Kids in Need of Dentistry is grateful to the Denver Bas Association, the staff at the Denver Foundation, and the 52 troops of the Girl Scouts Mile Hi Council who participated this year.

The troop bringing in the highest number of supplies wins tickets to Six Flags Elitch Gardens this summer. That lucky troop is Brownie Troop #621 from Thornton. They broke all previous records by securing more than 6,900 pieces for KIND to provide to underserved children this year.
